With over 40 years of experience across the management and operation of multiple businesses involving public safety, search and rescue, environmental risk mitigation, disaster risk reduction, and private military contracting, Eddy brings a unique breadth of operational and commercial leadership to the organisation. His service background includes the Royal Australian Navy, where he developed the operational discipline and systems thinking that underpins everything One Response does today. Scott Summers
Chief Pilot, Head of Flight Operations
Scott Summers brings 22 years of Australian Defence Force service to his role as Chief Pilot and Head of Flight Operations for Special Mission Helicopters. He served as a Paratrooper, Aircraft Technician, and finally spent 14 years as an Officer and Black Hawk Helicopter Pilot and Instructor. After separating from the military, Scott became Flight Program Director and Head of Training Operations for Becker Helicopter Services, managing international military flight training contracts for seven years. He subsequently held roles as Group Training and Compliance Manager with Hevilift Group in PNG, Type Specialist and Head of Training with Aerotech Helicopters on UH60 and EC135 platforms, before taking the role of Head of Flight Operations for Special Mission Helicopters in Queensland in 2024. Scott holds nine CASA Flight Examiner Ratings and an Air Transport Pilot Licence. Meegan Olding brings 30 years of Australian Army service as a logistician and strategic planner to the One Response leadership team. A former Colonel, her operational experience spans multinational planning, supply chain operations, and working across defence, policy, and industry partners at the highest levels. Most recently employed through 2024 as Army Colonel Division Chief within the United States Joint Staff at the Pentagon, Meegan was responsible for integrating Allies and partners into global plans, aligning capability development, and working across defence and policy channels. Her background ensures One Response maintains alignment with hierarchical command models, disciplined operational planning, and structured governance environments consistent with sovereign security institutions. Meegan holds a Graduate Certificate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Nate Chellew
Director Services
Nate Chellew brings over 10 years as an operational responder, training facilitator, and training manager in fire and emergency services, combined with 10+ years in corporate services spanning mining, construction, transport and logistics, financial services, and insurance. His corporate roles have included consulting, HSEQ management, commercial risk management, human resources, leadership and development, and executive management. Nate specialises in translating operational risk analysis into structured training doctrine and is experienced in major incident investigations, auditing, and report writing. His role within One Response focuses on institutionalising operational experience into scalable workforce systems, converting real-world environments into structured, tiered training pathways aligned to command hierarchy, governance requirements, and measurable capability uplift. He holds ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Lead Auditor certification. Brenton Clarke
Operations Manager
Brenton Clarke's career spans 15 years in South Australia Police including service in the Special Tasks and Rescue Group (Tactical Police), Water Police and Diving, and as a Bomb Technician; 12 years as a full-time SA State Emergency Service officer across technical rescue, swiftwater technician operations, helicopter aircrew, and Chief Remote Pilot roles, attaining Incident Control and Operations Level 2 certification; six years in the Middle East in HR management, compliance, training, and logistics and private security roles; and three years as a Registered Nurse. He also served as a WorkSafe SA WHS Inspector and regulatory investigator. Brenton provides One Response with depth in high-visibility public safety operations, structured tactical doctrine, and governance, compliance, and audit resilience. His experience spans both operational counter-terror environments and formal regulatory oversight. Trevor Arnold
Emergency Management and Air Operations Advisor
Trevor Arnold is an emergency management specialist with decades of experience leading complex operational and disaster response activities at both national and international levels. A former Assistant Chief Officer and Regional Commander, Trevor has served as a State-level Incident Controller, Helicopter Rescue Check and Training Officer, and Urban Search and Rescue Category 2 specialist. His background spans incident command, operational coordination, and the development of response frameworks for high-risk and time-critical environments. Trevor brings deep expertise in multi-agency command integration and in translating operational requirements into structured training and capability uplift programs. He provides operational oversight across the One Response Group, ensuring training delivery, exercises, and capability development activities remain aligned to real-world operational demands, governance expectations, and client objectives. We are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and will provide all required training and skills that lead to nationally recognised competencies in a range of skill areas including general rescue, swiftwater and flood water rescue, first aid and basic life support, rope work, and use of power and specialised tools.
The skills and confidence gained on the job are readily transferable and will equip you to deal with a range of work and life challenges.
In addition, you will be part of one of Australia’s most well-equipped and technically trained private rescue services with the ability to have the opportunity to work with other emergency services and community groups.
